Naël Hamza

Naël joined Gide Loyrette Nouel in 2018, and was part of the founding team of Hamza & Gide. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at premier international law firms including Dentons, Shearman & Sterling and Quinn Emanuel. Naël focuses his practice on corporate, commercial and M&A, advising clients on a variety of matters across the education, healthcare, technology, oil & gas, defence, transportation and infrastructure sectors. He additionally has experience in International Arbitration having worked on disputes under the auspices of the ICC, CRCICA and ICSID. Naël was also a lecturer at the Institute of International Business Law and the French University in Egypt. He is fluent in English, French and Arabic.

Advised Odyssey, a French educational focused fund, on its investment in a pre-k to 12 international school in Egypt.
Represented Aqua Lung in the company’s restructuring, including the liquidation of the previous company and incorporation of the new company, as well as changing a Board of Director in the context of a dispute.
Advised SEMMARIS “Rungis”, a semi-public French company, on the management of existing wholesale markets in Egypt, including the preparation of a full-fledged legal study on wholesale markets and distribution legal framework in Egypt.
Advised Webhelp, a multinational call centre company, on its establishment in Egypt and providing commercial and corporate legal assistance on its day-to-day operations.
Advised a European Petroleum company on a transfer of technology agreement in Egypt.
Advising Thales on various corporate and commercial matters concerning its operations and restructuring in Egypt.
