Ashraf joined Hamza & Partners in 2000 and has been practicing law for 24 years. He specialises in matters relating to employment and labour law, including employment contract-drafting, handling matters related to labour offices and labour courts and employment arbitration. He is also experienced in Civil and Family law. Prior to joining Hamza & Partners, he worked at Mohamed Essam Law Firm.

Advising and representing Carrefour Egypt on various employment and regulatory matters since 2002, when Carrefour entered the Egyptian market.
Advising and representing Fromagerie Bel on all employment matters since 2008.
Advising and representing Accor on all employment matters since 2010.
Represented Accor in successfully reducing an EGP 148 million labour claim to EGP 8 million.
Negotiated on behalf of Accor in the context of a 350-employee strike, and successfully achieved a return-to-work after three days, avoiding millions in loss.
Represented Carrefour in a dispute against a high-profile employee regarding a major breach of confidentiality. Successfully obtained a favourable judgment ruling that the loss constituted an infringement on Carrefour’s intellectual property.
